Globally there are 43 million people living with blindness and 295 million people living with moderate-to-severe visual impairment.
Be My Eyes enables your team to help real people in need, anywhere in the world. Employees with access to a smartphone can help a blind or visually impaired Be My Eyes user.
Be My Eyes is the largest online blind and low-vision community in the world, so teams of all sizes can volunteer no matter where they are located or, or what languages they speak. We engage with departments and companies of all sizes to support the blind and low-vision community as they navigate daily challenges.
This experience starts with a live kickoff call to educate participants about Be My Eyes and how to use the application. Participants will then create their volunteer profiles and get ready to connect with individuals across the globe that speak their native language.
Then commences your dedicated day of calls where participants can support the Be My Eyes community. Calls typically last for just few minutes but can go on longer if the volunteer has time.
Not only will volunteers be able to support individuals during the day of the event, but they will be able to receive calls and offer support for the next 90 days!
