What is Rise & Shine?
Each night, 789 million people are plunged into complete darkness due to a lack of access to clean energy. They depend on primitive forms of energy like kerosene, which have devastating impacts on health, economic stability, educational outcomes, and the environment.
Participants will learn about energy poverty and how SolarBuddy’s work supports multiple Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). They will assemble solar lights and write messages of encouragement to children living in energy poverty around the world.
Choose one of the following light to create:
- Junior Buddy Solar Light Build (Recommended 1 person activity)
- Student Buddy Solar Torch and Panel Build (Recommended 2-3 person activity)
