What is Skate Like A Girl?
On average, around 20% of skateboarders identify as women, a gender disparity that has historically led to exclusion within the community. Those who don't fit the traditional "skater guy" stereotype may feel reluctant to take up space for practice or seek help in learning, creating barriers to full participation.
Learn about the importance of gender equity in sports while assembling skateboards that foster an inclusive community. By promoting confidence, leadership, and social justice through skateboarding, these boards help increase access and create opportunities for diverse groups, especially women, girls, BIPOC, and LGBTQ+ individuals.
