The more you know: Did you know that there is more microplastic in the ocean than stars in the Milky Way? By 2050, more plastic will be in the oceans than fish (by weight). [Resource]

In honor of Earth Day in April, many of our WeHero clients participated in a Citizens of the Great Barrier Reef volunteer experience, making it our most popular virtual event that month!

Volunteers joined the Citizens of the Great Barrier Reef in the Great Reef Census, a pioneering citizen science initiative dedicated to surveying the Great Barrier Reef. This program empowers individuals worldwide to contribute to crucial conservation efforts by identifying coral types and quantities in numerous images captured from reefs across the Great Barrier Reef.

Together, we are making a positive impact in preserving this extraordinary ecosystem. We thank all our clients who joined us in this significant conservation endeavor! For those interested in participating in this volunteer experience, the link is below!
