World Water Month & Wine To Water

WeHero is thrilled to announce our first annual World Water Month campaign! There are a number of causes that we are dedicated to supporting throughout the year with our corporate volunteer programs. Each cause has a relation to a national or global holiday, observance or celebration. You can find the correlation between these special days and our event programs on our social impact calendar.

‍One of our most recent additions is World Water Month leading up to World Water Day on March 22nd, 2021. Join us in addressing the global water crisis by building filters in our new corporate volunteer event, Wine To Water.

The Cause:

Wine To Water is a non-profit organization that was founded in 2004 by Doc Hendley. Doc dreamed up the concept of Wine To Water while bartending and playing music around the Raleigh, NC area. In February of 2004, Doc held the first fundraiser for his newly found passion project and by August, he was living in Sudan installing water systems for victims of government-supported genocide. This experience not only changed his life but the lives of over one million people within the communities that he has worked in.In 2007, Doc officially launched Wine To Water and his dream of fighting the world’s water crisis became a reality. Today, Wine to Water has given clean water to over 1,000,000 people and continues to grow their impact through their various projects in regions all over the world.

The Impact:

The need for access to clean water, basic sanitation, and hygiene resources across the world continues. So, we’re building water filters!

Each participant will build a filter that provides ten years of clean water.

We ship the entire experience to your home, office, or venue of choice. Each experience box will include all the needed materials and instructions to build the filters. The water filters are then mailed to Wine To Water, who distributes them to the communities in need all around the globe.
